Livestock Culture

Hog Farming

  • The black pigs became healthier and their meat quality improved.
  • The malodor in the farm has decreased substantially.

Carp Culture

  • The carps that were grown on the Dileka water (shown in the photo) received a Gold Award in Niigata City. Unfortunately, these carps were released as a result of the flooding and earthquakes in the region in 2004.

Ear Shell Culture

  • Dileka is working in ear shell culture in Okushiri Island.
  • The Island’s seawater started to get polluted by chlorine since the sewage treatment plant was built a few years ago. The polluted seawater affected the ear shell culture and damaged both its quality and the yield.
  • Since then, Dileka was introduced and used in the culture.

Clam Culture

  • The yield has drastically increased since the use of Dileka.
  • Underground water, pumped in the sea by drilling, is put through Dileka to produce the Dileka water. No sand is used in the culture.
  • The farming of thin-shelled surf clam is planned to begin soon.
